Discover trail running on and around the Grand Ballon, in the heart of the Vosges. Our three events bring together sport, nature and adventure, offering a challenge for various skill levels. Whether you are planning your first trail or looking for a new athletic achievement, here you will experience a race you will remember for a long time to come.
In 2027, a total of 9,000 starting spots are available across the three events. Choose the event, route or season that suits you best, prepare well, and enjoy the atmosphere, the scenery and the support of volunteers and fans along the way. The start line is your first victory. The finish will hopefully be a memory you will never forget.

Become a member of the Trail Team du Grand Ballon
The routes of the Trail du Grand Ballon are created and maintained by local residents. They know the trails, terrain and surroundings like no one else. Starting in 2027, our local trail builders are uniting in the Trail Team du Grand Ballon: a team of trail runners combining their knowledge, experience and passion for the region.
Do you live near the Grand Ballon and regularly run trails? Would you like to train together, discover new routes and contribute to the quality of our events? Then the Trail Team du Grand Ballon could be the place for you. You will be part of a local community and help give participants the best and most beautiful trail experience possible.
Become a volunteer
There is no Trail du Grand Ballon without volunteers. They welcome participants, support the organization and ensure everyone stays safe and has a smile on their face along the way. You can help with registrations, aid stations, course marking, the start and finish area, or as a course marshal, among other roles.
Experience is not required. Enthusiasm, a sense of responsibility and a desire to work together are far more important. You will receive clear information about your task beforehand and become part of a motivated organizing team. In return, you'll experience the event from the front row and contribute directly to an unforgettable day for thousands of trail runners.
